An asteroid with a crystallized Public Mobile logo, designed for a comedic hero moment.

Public Mobile — Asteroid (Key Visual Concept)

For Public Mobile’s humorous spot, I designed the campaign’s main attention stealer: a crash-landed asteroid prop featuring a crystallized Public Mobile logo, complete with heat cues to sell its fiery entry. Working with Tantrum’s creative team, I delivered clear concept frames that evolved from simplified 2D approvals into more realistic, production-ready visuals to guide the 3D team.

Design a hero prop concept that communicates “just crash-landed” with brand-forward impact.

❋ Goal

Concept frames exploring logo integration (metal vs rock) and final realistic key visual direction.

❋ Deliverables

Client clarity/approvals, realistic textures, and believable heat/impact storytelling.

❋ Constraints

Concept Artist / Illustrator (hero asteroid design + logo integration + look development).

❋ Role

Delivered production-ready concept art that aligned stakeholders and guided 3D execution.

❋ Outcome

Adobe Photoshop, Procreate

❋ Tools

❋ Finals at a Glance

A single hero prop concept designed to read instantly: impact, heat, and brand reveal.

❋ Process

Early 2D Concepts (approvals)
Early frames stayed intentionally simplified to lock the core structure and logo placement quickly. This helped secure approvals on the idea (what the prop is, where the logo lives, and how the silhouette reads) before investing in realism and surface detail.

Shift to realism (stakeholder alignment)
Once the 2D concepts were reviewed, client feedback showed the need for a more realistic preview to fully visualize the final prop. I shifted into a realism-forward Photoshop workflow, building believable textures for the rock and environment, then layering custom crystal lighting and detail on top to reach a production-ready look.
